SAM AND THE GRAND SLAM COME TO MARY'S!!

St Mary's students were delighted to be chosen as one of the few schools in Ireland to receive visits from both Gaelic Football's Sam Maguire Trophy and Rugby's prestigious Grand Slam and Triple Crown trophies!!

The Irish rugby team captured the Grand Slam for the third time in our history, beating all other countries in the Six Nations Tournament, ensuring we also won the Triple Crown Trophy as well.

The Dubs meanwhile retained the Sam Maguire in Gaelic Football beating Mayo (again!) in the final!

Huge thanks to Na Dubh Ghall Gaelic Football team in Baldoyle  for facilitating the visit of Sam, and major thanks to Leinster Rugby's Stephen Costello for organising the visit of the Grand Slam and Triple Crown Trophies.
